A separation of religion and state (separation of church and state)
and separation of economics and state (Laissez-faire capitalism)
is vital in my eyes for the human race to evolve further.
Free the state.
Separation of state means that around half the laws and regulations that exists can be thrown away. People in court would not swear on a holy scripture to tell the truth but instead swear on a legal scripture.
Free the economics.
Patents would no longer exist, patents hinders economics and promotes monopoly. As the ones with the largest patent portfolio these days truly rule the markets. Get rid of things like patents, and companies have to focus on meeting demand and price competition instead, like they used to do. The patent wars must end. The DMCA in the USA is highly capitalistic, it benefits companies not the people of the state.
Free the religion.
Religion has no business being tied to the state, what if a state is proved wrong, what if the state religion turns out to be false, the entire state could collapse then. No, it's better that the state cater to the people, and only the people. Let religion be controlled by what it should be controlled by, personal beliefs.
Free the will.
Separation of state, a government that only governs, free of influence from capitalism and religion. State should be the foundation that people can rely on. Capitalism and religion should be two different and optional layers on top of state, decided by the individual rather than forced upon by law.
