Games and interactive projects.

Introduction

Games let me turn systems, rules and absurd situations into something people can interact with. Some of my game projects are small web games, while others are more involved experiments based on work, stories or online worlds.

Games and interactive projects

IT-Support Game
A game based on technical support, ordinary requests and the absurd situations that can grow around them. It turns familiar IT-support problems into a playable system. It is published on my website as a browser game and is also available globally through the Microsoft Store. The Microsoft Store version receives automatic updates via Windows Update, while the browser version lets you export and import the game state.
Kåbal
A browser-based solitaire game similar to Klondike, also known in Norway as 7-kabal or syver-kabal, on my personal page at NTNU.
Nørdle
A Norwegian word-guessing game where you can choose words from four to eleven letters; five letters is only the default setting. It uses a prepared list of 302,778 words from the official Norwegian dictionaries. The game provides lookup links to several dictionaries and search engines, and keeps separate statistics for each word length.
Yætsi
A dice game I created for one to eight players, with its own ruleset rather than simply being standard Yahtzee or standard Yatzy. Its scorecard includes One Pair and Two Pairs, like Yatzy, while also using a 63+ upper-section bonus associated with Yahtzee. It also has its own Yætsi category.
GTA Online machinima
A video project in which my character becomes Trevor's unfortunate driver during a mission.

I provided voice acting for DROD: The City Beneath, developed by Caravel Games as part of the Deadly Rooms of Death series.

Helpdesk Earth
A science-fiction satire about the largest possible helpdesk: a universe where prayers, miracles and human problems arrive as tickets. The project began as a book, but belongs in the same family of projects as the games because it treats a system and its failures as something to explore.
