Info: Music

Tracker music, albums, radio, and archival releases.

Introduction

Music has been part of my life since 1988. I started writing and producing music without a professional studio, using computers and tracker software. I used OctaMed Soundstudio extensively on the Amiga and later on PC, and I also used software such as Reason on PC. I remastered my Amiga tracks using the PC version of OctaMed, taking advantage of its 16-bit rendering instead of the 14-bit mode available through a sort of hack in the Amiga version. I currently have PreSonus Studio One, although I have not yet created or released music made with it.

A lot of the early work was made on the Amiga. Some later releases grew out of old Amiga material, while other tracks were made much later. Some of my older music was released under the name Rescator, while my new releases are under the name Skuldwyrm.

Music projects

Amiga tracker music
Music made during the Amiga years, including material created with OctaMed Soundstudio.
Ryoko
Released through digital music platforms.
ZXY
Released through digital music platforms.
Game Over
An album containing some material that grew out of earlier music, including work connected in my memory with an unreleased AuroraWorks game project.
Naudives
Older, previously unreleased material released through the Internet Archive and YouTube.
GridStream Productions
An MMO(RPG) radio station connected to Anarchy Online. I hosted English-language shows, maintain the AutoDJ playlist and have worked on the streaming technology and players. I have also made and edited many jingles, including a long-used GridStream Productions tag in a deep, grungy voice. The station also uses original GSP skits and parody or satirical material in its fake ad breaks.
The Resurrection
A set of older music from the later Rescator era, made after I had stopped creating new music for a long period. I found the MP3 files with modified dates of 13 November 2004, although I am not sure whether I still have the original project files. The Resurrection remained unreleased until 2026.
Helpdesk Earth multimedia project
A separate, recent project developed collaboratively with AI. Creating it required special tools, websites and services, rather than only the music software I normally use.
