ZXY
Like Ryoko, ZXY has the shape of a soundtrack: sci-fi and space fantasy alongside electronic, orchestral, and industrial sounds. It is a soundtrack without a film, perhaps waiting for one.
The music was composed on an Amiga 1200 using OctaMED Soundstudio, with a mix of 8-bit and 16-bit sounds. In 2010 the tracks were regenerated at 48 kHz, restored, warmed, and mastered for a consistent and comfortable listening level.
Unlike the more deliberately shaped Ryoko, this record was assembled from existing tracks. The music is intentionally experimental; a piece can become something entirely different as it unfolds. Two bonus tracks sit outside its loose story, included simply because they belonged here.
